Correspondence, reports, questionnaires, and other papers, primarily relating to William K. Brussat's work with Chicago's Office of Housing and Redevelopment from 1952-1955. Papers concern neighborhood conservation and rehabilitation in the neighborhoods of Woodlawn, Hyde Park, the Near West Side, and other areas. Some reports concerning racial tension in Chicago Housing Authority housing projects are included, as well as documents describing processes for rehousing occupants of neighborhoods undergoing expressway development.
